real shiny craft: FaLaLaLa Foil Ornaments

Trim your tree with FaLaLaLa Foil Ornaments—festive baubles made from scrunched aluminum foil and yarn. These are definitely kid-friendly. They are unbreakable and your family can easily create them together! Monthly “Real Crafts” are created just for RAK by Bettijo B. Hirschi & Aimée Lowry, the Arizona moms behind the family-style blog Paging Supermom. For more ideas, visit pagingsupermom.com.

Supplies needed:

Aluminum foil
Yarn (in a couple of festive colors)
Glue (optional)

Instructions

Tear a foot of foil off the roll and scrunch into a ball. For larger ornaments, overlay another sheet of foil. Shape in hands to form a sphere.

Wrap yarn around ball twice and secure with a knot. Continue wrapping as desired. Once yarn design is complete, tie off with another knot. You may wish to use glue to secure the end.

Finish by tying on a loop of yarn for hanging.
